The Last Piece Of The Puzzle Is In Place – E-Mail Classification For All Mobile Devices.
In addition to Blackberry and Windows Mobile phones, TITUS – a TalaTek partner – has added iPhone® support, and will soon add Android™, too.
Through a partnership with Good Technology, TITUS has extended its security and compliance solutions for e-mail and documents, and now provides end-to-end e-mail classification support for the iPhone, and soon for the Android platform.
Tim Upton, president and CEO of TITUS, said, “Communication and information sharing via e-mail isn’t just done in the office. Users clearly need to be able to protect information sent via their mobile devices. By partnering with Good Technology, a leader in multiplatform mobility, we’re helping enterprises and governments worldwide secure and manage a range of devices.”
Baan Alsinawi, president of TalaTek, stated, “With this added level of classification of e-mail, TalaTek now covers everything from the desktop to mobile devices and vice-versa. E-mail classification labels will now interoperate with mobile client classification solutions developed by Good Technology for the iPhone, and will soon offer support for Google Android. This means seamless recognition of classification labels between these platforms.”
With the latest federal mandates, enterprise and government customers need to ensure the security of information assets on their mobile devices. This latest combination of smartphone and mobile phone solutions will allow customers to have consistent information security controls from wherever their information is being sent and received.
With these new solutions, classification information is maintained when the message is replied to or forwarded, enabling enforcement of information protection policies both at the desktop and by network, or host-based DLP solutions.
In addition to benefitting enterprise customers, these mobile technology solutions have significant implications for military customers who require support for classification schemes such as CAPCO, and for US Federal Government customers who need to show their compliance with the recently mandated Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) directive.
By securing the enterprise data and applications of mobile users, we’re protecting the integrity of corporations and agencies, and the privacy of employees. This latest innovation allows mobile workers to safely maximize productivity through secure, easy-to-use, and instant mobile access to data, applications, and services on hundreds of mobile devices.
